Postdoctoral Fellows

Jorge Alcina, PsyD

POST-DOCTORAL CLINICAL FELLOW

Jorge Alcina is a 2nd year postdoctoral clinical fellow within the Multicultural Neuropsychology Track at the MGH Department of Psychiatry. He earned his PsyD in Clinical Psychology at Albizu University-Miami Campus and is a Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grant recipient. His clinical and research interests primarily focus on Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) in relation to risk factors among Latino/a/e/x individuals and other ethnoracially-diverse populations. In his free time, he enjoys reading, singing, making music, and spending time with loved ones

Bing He, PhD

POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOW

Dr. He is a 2nd-year postdoctoral research fellow at the MAPP Lab. She completed her Ph.D. in Bioinformatics at Indiana University, Purdue University Indianapolis. Her research integrates multi-modal data, including MRI, PET, genetics, plasma, and cognitive measures with advanced computational approaches to improve early detection and prediction of Alzheimer’s disease progression. Her current work focuses on longitudinal analyses of basal forebrain structural and functional changes in autosomal dominant Alzheimer’s disease, aiming to define the timing of cholinergic vulnerability and clarify how basal forebrain degeneration drives early progression. Outside of research, she enjoys cooking, reading, and hiking.

Vincent Malotaux, PhD

POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOW

Dr. Malotaux is a 2nd-year postdoctoral fellow at the MAPP Lab. He holds a Research Master’s in Psychology and a PhD in Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium. His doctoral research integrated PET and MRI imaging to study sporadic Alzheimer’s disease. As a Wallonia-Brussels International Fellow, he now investigates how plasma biomarkers predict future brain and cognitive changes in autosomal dominant Alzheimer’s Disease. Beyond research, he enjoys badminton, exploring historical maps, and Belgian waffles.

Isabel Solis, PhD

POST-DOCTORAL CLINICAL FELLOW

Dr. Isabel Solis is a 2nd- year postdoctoral clinical fellow within the Multicultural Neuropsychology Track at the MGH Department of Psychiatry. She completed her Ph.D. in Psychology at the University of New Mexico. Dr. Solis is interested in the utility of neuropsychological assessments and interventions using evidence-based practices with bilingual and ethnically diverse populations across the lifespan. Her research utilizes multi-modal methods to examine mechanisms of typical and atypical neurodevelopment as it relates to adverse childhood experiences. Outside of work, she enjoys running, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.

Catarina Tristão Pereira, PhD

POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOW

Catarina Tristão Pereira is a 2nd year postdoctoral research fellow at the MAPP Lab. She graduated in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Lisbon and earned her PhD in Molecular Biosciences from the Autonomous University of Madrid. Her research focuses on the incidence of neuropsychiatric symptoms and cardiovascular risk factors in autosomal-dominant Alzheimer’s disease and older adults. She uses neuroimaging and blood-based biomarkers to determine biological correlates in the disease progression. Outside of work, Catarina enjoys reading, spending time with friends and traveling.
